Thank you for making Ideas Lab possible!

This year’s Ideas Lab took place in an unprecedented context. Together, we managed to adapt to an ever changing environment and to make this first fully digital experience a success.

During those 5 days, more than 100 high-level speakers, discussed a wide range of topical issues: from the European Green Deal to Europe’s industrial future and the economic recovery. They debated with our 1,200 participants, without whom this experience would not have been the same.

We would also like to thankour 30 Young Thinkers, who participated in four intense days of foresight exercise. The Young Thinkers represented 25 different nationals from 5 continents and brought fresh and innovative perspectives on the Future of Europe. They proved the importance of including more diverse and younger voices onto the European policy debate by engaging in a stimulating conversation with Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič, CEPS Director Cinzia Alcidi and EU ISS Director Florence Gaub. You can rewatch the Young Thinkers session here.

Keynote speakers included Nobel Laureates Joseph Stiglitz and Michael Spence, Commissioners Elisa Ferreira and Nicolas Schmidt, Indian economist Jayati Ghosh, Distinguished Fellow Kishore Mahbubani and many more!

Our speakers and guests are highly-esteemed academics and researchers, as well as top executives and NGO leaders.

Bold new ideas spring from the meeting of minds

The unique platform for thinking ahead for Europe

Of course, our aim is not to be the mouthpiece of policymakers. Which is why our guests come from all over Europe and beyond, from all sectors, and from both practitioners and academics.

Our aim is for CEPS Ideas Lab to be the unique platform outside the established channels to question commonly-accepted policy positions and look for new approaches to meet the challenges faced by Europe and the world.
