Gianfranco Di Vaio is Head of Research of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) Group and Adjunct Professor of International Economics at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome. After completing his PhD in History and Theory of Economic Development at LUISS, he worked as Research Fellow in the Department of Economics, Finance, and Statistics at the University of Perugia and in the Department of Economics and Business at LUISS. He qualified as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor of Political Economy. He has been Senior Economist in the Research Department of CDP and Head of Investor Relations & Rating Agencies of CDP Group. He has been also Research Fellow at the University College Dublin and Marie Curie Fellow of the European Commission. He visited the Department of Economics at the University of Copenhagen and the Department of Economics of KfW in Frankfurt. He has been board member of the Italian Association of Financial Analysts. He is fellow of the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis, member of the Editorial Board of the Review of Economics and Institutions, board member and member of the scientific committee of the Italia-ASEAN Association. He presented his works in national and international conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals and participated as a speaker in many investor, banking and financial events.
